| its been a long while since i came here. a few days back i wrote a post about how fucked up my last 3 shows were. but i deleted it. since im leaving already who really cares. everything is coming to an end. tmr will be my last day in mdc. i really miss the guys there. i went back today to do my clearance. kok jun was telling me how things have changed since i've been on leave for the past few weeks. my nickname in mdc is The Force Commander. haha. basically i go around and disturb everyone and make sure no one is sitting-alone-listening-to-ipod-anitsocial during our shows and when we've got nothing to do in the company. and recently when im not around... today the company was exceptionally quiet. surprisingly today when i got maj tay to sign my clearance. i wasnt angry nor was i pissed with him like i used to. i was grateful. i thanked him profusely through out. told him i really learned a great deal from opera and stuff. this time i wasnt faking it like i used to. it really came from the bottom of my heart. today is also the last lesson i had with my 2 sec4 students. i haven really told you their names yet eh. one is angela vera lee si min and the other is jennifer gabrielle lee hui jun. they are cousins. the first one is from cedar and the other is from tkss. both are from choir. 2 years is such a long time. angela's dad was the one in the papers. his name is john lee. really nice family. hes now called john lee II. cause he was said to be reborned after the incident. i had dinner quite a few times at their house. they're two smart kids really. sometimes i think they know more than me. jennifer's brother is a funny guy lol. one year younger than me. serving ns, just got into pti. we talked about almost everything under the sun. including bitching about their aunt when the aunt was just outside in the living room. they came over to my house to swim before cause they live just opposite my house. really cool family they've got. anyway i told them i will date them out for dinner someday after their exams. they wanted me to bring them to the hello kitty exhibition in nov at suntec and told me i still need to book them cause they're busy. and tmr my sis will be taking her a levels. this few months had been really tough on her and me as well. i have restudied the whole a level curriculum just to help her. physics math chem and everything. im ready for a levels and i hope she is too. she calls me god at home lol. anything dont know just ask god. ok guess im done for today. | | |
| i finally met their dad again today. i really dont know how to put it. everytime when we were having lessons in the room, i would hear him whistle loudly outside his doorstep. then my student and i would count 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. cause everytime without fail he would open the door within 5 seconds and say "hi pong!" then he would shake my hand. same goes for today. they were telling me like the media and friends and familes kept calling to ask about them. theres this whiteboard in the room and they wrote the timings of all the tv shows they were on. today there were a few visitors. heres the link to one of the interviews. i think the part where he talked about dinosuars was quite funny. http://www.razor.tv/site/servlet/segment/main/news/37104.html | | |
| life is just so unpredictable. i didnt know until my friend told me that the guy in today's straits times is actually my student's dad. wth. he was in indonesia when the earthquake happened and he got stucked under the rubble for 30hrs. the picture of the rescue workers carrying a guy out in a stretcher in today's straits times is actually my student's dad. this is so unbelievable. a few weeks ago i just had dinner with his family and everytime i went to his house to teach his daughter he would ask me how im doing and stuff. i really dont know how to go about comforting their family and stuff. but she told me her dad was ok. i knew their family more than a year ago. the picture i saw in the papers today just didnt fit the cheerful images of him i had in mind. i really cant believe it. i hope he gets well soon and return safely back to singapore. | | |
| On sunday, yj han and i went to have dinner at shabu shabu. what a stupid place yj recommended. it was darn ex. 20 bucks for steam boat buffet. they sold mineral water for 3 bucks so i doubt tap water is free. we ended up so bloody thirsty. they had free flow of orange and mango pudding. and we were so cheapo that we kept asking the waitress to serve us plates and plates of orange so that we can suck out the orange juice and thirst our quench. there. thirst our quench. we were laughing so loudly hoping that the waitress would know how cheapo we were and squeeze the orange for us. but she didnt. but then again, 20 bucks for a steamboat buffet plus free flow of freshlyy squeezed sucked orange juice is kinda worth it. benny joined us too. after that yj left because i refused to drive them all the way to novena to eat ice cream. too bad he left cause in the end i ended up driving all the way to holland v to eat ice cream. benny han and i wanted to watch a movie so i asked yj whats the name of the funny cheap flick. and he told me inglorious basterds. luckily we didnt get con by him. we watched ugly truth. laugh until all the orange juice come out of my mouth. lovely. | | |
